Fagnani fu un formidabile ritrattista americano-italiano. Dotato di eccellente tecnica, è stato fra gli artisti più apprezzati e richiesti, sia in Europa che in America. Molto bella è anche la serie delle Muse, dove è riconoscibile la stessa modella ritratta di volta in volta nelle nove allegorie mitologiche delle arti e delle scienze. Vincenzo

Anch’io trovo molto interessante la serie dedicata alle Muse della mitologia greca. Purtroppo, a parte i primi due dipinti, ho solo trovato delle riproduzioni in bianco e nero.
