There is no evil. His works, both for the naked portraits, are not at all trivial. To me he was a good expressionist painter. In subjects he portrayed often show an inner pain, as you can see in his eyes tired and swollen of the woman smoking a cigarette (perhaps because she has the small hours. Who knows?)
