    Great painter and beautiful landscapes. I think it really deserved the large space reserved for this artist.

    The expert and creative use of light distinguishes Bierstadt’s landscapes. For example, scroll through these paintings and notice the ones with waterfalls. In every instance, he uses light to draw your attention to them. The contrast of light and dark in these and other paintings is Bierstadt manipulating your focus and enhancing the drama of the scene.
