    Trovo stupendo il dipinto St. Marks Square, eseguito con pochi, veloci ed essenziali, tocchi di pennello, che rendono viva la piazza e i soggetti rappresentati (le donne a passeggio e i meravigliosi piccioni). Ma mi piacciono anche gli altri dipinti di questo grande artista, in modo particolare le scene di vita contadina e quella giovane pittrice impegnata a ritrarre una capra.
