“Assisi Market Girls” is such a splendid painting: intense chiaroscuro, sparkling color.Beautiful painting. Then, inexplicably he goes to try his hand at all these other genres with markedly less success as if reacting to popular themes.Still- a very competent painter with gusto and vigor.
