I have a hand painted (by Emily Sartain) etching of “Welcome News”. I had it appraised at Art Encounters in Las Vegas Nevada and was told that it was authentic. I’ve been trying to find it’s value as the appraiser said he could not find it’s like. I would greatly appreciate any information on this etching. Thank you.

This email is to inform you that the flower paintings exhibited on the page that were attributed to
Emily Sartain 1841-1927 were actually painted by a Canadian relative by the same name:
    Emily Sartain 1903-1990.
The Emily Sartain 1841-1927 was born in Philadelphia. She specialized in portraits and landscapes.
The Emily Sartain 1903-1990 specialized in flowers. More information can be found on the website

I have a flower painting watercolour by your 1903 Emily but pamphlet with it mentions not able to prove a relative of John and 1841 Emily Sartain. I love the painting, which she should be very proud of her skills.
