The portrait you have listed as Robert E. Lee is actually Benjamin Cheatham.

  3. Great post! I am wondering whether you might be able to tell me where you located the painting of JP Morgan? I am doing some research and would like to find out who/which institution owns this painting. Any clues would be a great help and thanks again for posting! Grace

The owner of John Pierpont Morgan’s portrait is Smithsonian Institution (National Portrait Gallery, 8th & F Streets, N. W., Washington, District Of Columbia).
The painting is a gift from Henry Sturgis Morgan, grandson of J. P. Morgan.
